ORC Validation

For On-Prem Servers [Virtual and Physical]

  1. Login the specified servers
  2. Use the checklist to manually run commands and validate.
Caution

There is a custom command made for this (Included in the sheet), but run it with caution.


For Azure Servers

  1. RDP into either 10.113.74.33 or 10.113.74.34
  2. Navigate to the script location:
    This PC > Windows (C:) > Scripts > Release > Main-ORC
    
  3. Edit VMLists.CSV

    • Open the Inputs folder.
    • Open VMLists.CSV using Notepad.
    • The file format will appear as below
    VMName,SubscriptionName,ResourceGroup,PrivateIPAddress,OperatingSystem
    zeusplapcsleel,SUB-MSHS-CYBER-PROD-e1,rg-crowdstklogc-cyber-eus-01,10.113.144.28,Linux-RHEL
    

    !!! warning "Important" - Do not alter the first line. - Edit only the second line using the data from the request attachment. - Ensure there are no spaces or tabs; data should be separated by commas only.

    • Save the file and return to the Main-ORC folder.
  4. Copy Script path

    • Select the file Main_ORC_Script-v2.2 and copy its path.
  5. Run the Script in PowerShell

    • Open PowerShell and paste the copied path.
    • Remove any quotation marks and press Enter. !!! note The script will prompt you to log into your Azure portal. Once logged in, it will execute and fetch predefined statistics, emailing the results directly. !!! info If the script fails or you don’t receive the expected email attachment, double-check the data entered in VMLists.CSV.   6. Email Notification

    • You will receive two emails: one with checks from Azure and another from the OS. These should contain details like VMName, SubscriptionName, ResourceGroup, Location, and VMStatus.
    • Re-validate the data present in both the documents before sending defects to the requestor/POC, Use this Checklist

Communicate Defects
If defects are found, email the requestor and POC outlining the issues and request remediation to proceed. Reassign the ORC remediation task to the requestor. - If no defects are found, you can close this SCTask and proceed to next task(s).


Optional Steps

Checking Mywizard Account Automation

  1. Log in to zeusplmwidp001.
  2. Navigate to:cd /opt/connectivity_report/
  3. Create a new file with a .csv extension.
  4. In this file, list the IP address and port number (22) in the following format:10.xx.xx.xx,22
  5. Edit the config.ini file in the same directory, changing the server list file name to the newly created file. Save and exit.
  6. Run the command: python3 main_linux.py - This will generate an output file named wrep.csv in the same directory.

Once the Remediation Task is closed. Three new SCTASKs will be generated.
